About the Exhibition

TOILETPAPER is a magazine founded by the artist Maurizio Cattelan and the photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari. Influenced by art history, radical design, and fashion, the project began soon after they collaborated on a photo shoot for W magazine’s 2009 art issue. Installed in the Passage Gallery at the museum’s west entrance, Toiletpaper Paradise is an interactive immersion in the magazine’s aesthetic, in which domestic settings are reimagined as psychedelic, subversive montaged vignettes. Visitors are invited to explore and position themselves in these “Mad Men on acid” scenes.
